Samy’s Camera is pleased to host EEI Creative Arts for this live online class on how to create dynamic motion with your camera!

Get your camera off of the tripod and learn how to create smooth, well composed shots with your camera in motion. Whether you want to shoot your first short film or Tik Tok videos with your friends, creating natural, dynamic motion with your camera is a key element in developing your personal style, and will differentiate your content from everyone else’s. This workshop will teach you how to use essential tools such as gimbals and sliders to help you manipulate your camera on a stable, yet mobile platform. Whether you’re shooting on an iPhone or Canon 5D, you’ll leave this workshop with the knowledge required to experiment with your camera and develop your own visual aesthetic competently.

This class is designed for beginners but is open to all levels of videographers and cinematographers. All ages are welcome!

Instructor Bio:

Jacob Huberman is a renowned editor in Hollywood known for bringing “emotion concentrate” to life from scripts to documentaries.

In 2000, Jacob was introduced to the world of documentary filmmaking at PBS where he developed a deep love for the documentary format. Over the last 20 years, Jake has edited a variety of documentary work from Chicago to Jerusalem, and spanning a range of genres just as diverse. He cut a feature titled Breaking the Silence, for the Center for the Advancement of Human Rights which was screened in 30 cities. Jake has also written and edited over 100 sports commercials for HRTV. Jacob spent six years editing behind-the-scenes biographies for the Society of Camera Operators, which were screened at the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences. He was honored to be able to work on a biography of the legendary Actor and Director, Clint Eastwood. Jake’s production company, Kid Rushmore, is currently in post-production on a new documentary about famous rapper Tupac Shakur entitled Nip and Pac: Poetic Injustice.Jacob received his BA in Electronic Media from Bradley University and an MFA in Film Production from Florida State University. This is his tenth year teaching post-production.
